On the auspicious occasion of Uttar Pradesh Foundation Day, celebrated on 24th January, we were blessed to witness a very special and historic moment here in Bengaluru. For the first time ever, the Uttar Pradesh Foundation Day Celebration was organized in the city, and our Shri Banke Bihari Gurukulam children had the wonderful opportunity to be part of this memorable event.

The program was held at Hotel Pride Premier, Richmond Road, Bengaluru, and it began on a deeply uplifting note with our Gurukul children singing “Vande Mataram”, followed by the National Anthem, “Jana Gana Mana.” Their calm confidence, clear pronunciation, discipline, and devotional mood filled the hall with a sense of pride and gratitude. Many in the audience were visibly moved by the children’s sincere and graceful presentation.

The event was graced by the august presence of Shri Jagdish Shettar, former Chief Minister of Karnataka, and Shri Shashank Mani Kumar, Hon’ble Member of Parliament from Uttar Pradesh. Our children were fortunate to personally meet the respected leaders, receive their blessings, and interact with them with great humility and confidence.

The children’s performance was appreciated by everyone present. As a token of love and encouragement, they were honoured with a memento, which brought great joy and inspiration to them. More than the award itself, the affection and blessings they received made the moment truly unforgettable for the children.

This beautiful experience clearly reflected the vision of His Divine Grave Sri A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, who taught the world the true purpose of Gurukul education:

By the mercy of Guru and Krishna, our children are being trained not only in academics, but also in discipline, devotion, humility, culture, and patriotism—all of which were beautifully visible during this event.
