International Yoga Day Celebrations at
Shri Banke Bihari Gurukulam

SAARTHI Program Celebrated at Shri Banke Bihari Gurukulam on International Yoga Day

A Morning of Service, Culture, Patriotism, and Value-Based Inspiration

On the auspicious occasion of International Yoga Day, 21st June 2026, Shri Banke Bihari Gurukulam had the honor of hosting the SAARTHI Program, organized by Friends of Tribals Society (Bangalore Chapter), at Sri Ramjeevan Goshala, Jigani.

The celebration brought together the spirit of service, culture, education, and national values, making the day deeply meaningful for all the students, guests, and well-wishers who participated. Observing this special day at the Gurukulam added a beautiful dimension to the occasion, as International Yoga Day reminds us of the importance of discipline, inner balance, self-awareness, and harmony—values that are naturally nurtured in the Gurukul way of life.

Program Highlights

The morning commenced with the arrival of the guests, who were warmly welcomed to the goshala. The guests then took blessings of the sacred Gomatas and participated in Go Seva by offering green chara and rotis with jaggery. This devotional beginning created a spiritually uplifting atmosphere for the entire event.

This was followed by the Flag Hoisting ceremony at Shri Banke Bihari Gurukulam, where students and guests gathered together in a mood of patriotism and gratitude, honoring the nation with joy and reverence.

After breakfast, the program continued with a guest interaction session, during which the purpose and vision of the SAARTHI initiative were shared. One of the most heartwarming moments of the day was the performance by the Gurukulam children, who presented themselves with confidence, discipline, and cultural grace, reflecting the values and training they receive through Gurukul education.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks, leaving all present inspired by the noble mission of serving society through education, culture, seva, and character-building.

A Meaningful Celebration on International Yoga Day

Celebrating this event on International Yoga Day made the occasion even more special. Yoga is not merely a physical practice, but a path of self-discipline, mental steadiness, purity of life, and union with higher purpose. These principles resonate deeply with the atmosphere of a Gurukulam, where children are trained in simple living, disciplined habits, spiritual values, devotion, and respect for Bharatiya culture.

We sincerely thank Friends of Tribals Society for choosing Shri Banke Bihari Gurukulam as the venue for this wonderful celebration. Such programs strengthen our shared vision of building a generation rooted in values, service, culture, and spiritual awareness.

At Shri Banke Bihari Gurukulam, we remain committed to nurturing young minds through value-based education, devotion, discipline, and holistic development, helping children grow into responsible and spiritually grounded individuals.

We pray for the continued success of all such noble initiatives and look forward to many more opportunities for service and collaboration in the future.

Jai Gomata! Jai Bharat! Jai Sri Krishna!
