Republic Day Celebrations at
Shri Banke Bihari Gurukulam

It was a joyful and memorable day at Shri Banke Bihari Gurukulam, as all Gurukulis from both the Gurukuls came together to celebrate the sacred occasion of India’s Republic Day with devotion, discipline, and heartfelt gratitude.
The celebrations began with flag hoisting, followed by the soulful rendering of “Jana Gana Mana”, filling the atmosphere with pride and unity. This was followed by Bhagavad Gītā recitations, reminding everyone that true freedom is rooted in strong character and spiritual values.
Our young Gurukulis beautifully presented patriotic dance performances, moral story narrations, and melodious recitations of Śrī Śikshāstakam, touching the hearts of all present. Each offering reflected not only talent, but also the deep values nurtured in the gurukul system.
The celebration concluded with Mahāprasādam, joyfully shared with all guests and invitees, strengthening bonds of love, humility, and gratitude.
On this auspicious day, we were reminded that building a strong nation begins with nurturing pure hearts and disciplined minds.
“The real aim of education is to train the student in self-discipline and spiritual understanding, so that he may become a responsible citizen and a servant of God.”
— Śrīla A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupāda
We offer our heartfelt thanks to all devotees, teachers, guests, and well-wishers who made this celebration meaningful. May our Gurukulis continue to grow as ideal citizens—rooted in dharma, devotion, and love for the nation.
