Sri Ramjeevan Goshala, Jigani is a developing and dedicated cow protection and pure breeding centre, committed to nurturing and preserving India’s precious indigenous cow heritage. Situated in a peaceful semi-rural setting, the goshala offers a calm, natural, and dignified environment where cows live freely and gracefully in harmony with nature.
The goshala is home to 60 well-maintained indigenous cows, with a focused emphasis on the pure breeding and propagation of Gir and Kankrej breeds. Scientific care blended with traditional wisdom ensures genetic purity, health, and longevity. Cows are allowed to live naturally, graze freely, and age gracefully—never viewed through the lens of productivity alone.
At Sri Ramjeevan Goshala, the vision extends beyond protection to reviving the sacred Vedic culture of reverence toward Gau Mata. The entire campus reflects this ethos—designed with a modern yet natural aesthetic, featuring traditional red-oxide flooring, cow-dung-smeared walls, and open, breathable spaces that promote peace and purity.
The goshala practices organic and sustainable living, supported by its own vegetable garden and fruit garden, nourished using cow-based inputs. A dedicated cow kitchen prepares nutrient-rich dhaliya and balanced feed for the cows, ensuring holistic nourishment. Calves are cared for with special attention and affection, supporting their healthy growth in a loving environment.
For the comfort and well-being of the cows, the goshala provides large open areas for free movement and relaxation, along with a fully automated cow massager, which cows may use voluntarily at any time—supporting physical ease and natural comfort.
Spiritual life is at the heart of Sri Ramjeevan Goshala. The campus houses a beautiful temple of Lord Gopala, where worship and offerings are performed strictly according to the guidance of Srila Prabhupada. Protecting the sacred kshetra is Kshetra Palaka Sri Hanuman, worshipped in the form of Kapi Dhvaja, whose flag stands as a divine guardian over the entire goshala.
Gau-puja is performed daily at 7:30 AM and 5:00 PM, creating a spiritually vibrant atmosphere through prayer, devotion, and gratitude. These sacred moments uplift not only the cows but also all who participate.
Srila Prabhupada beautifully explains the connection between cow protection and societal welfare:
“As long as the cow is protected, the earth will supply sufficient grains, fruits, and milk.”
— Srimad Bhagavatam 1.17.3, Purport
Sri Ramjeevan Goshala also serves as a center of spiritual outreach and education, hosting devotional programs, festivals, and seva opportunities. Visitors experience deep peace and joy by personally serving cows and reconnecting with timeless Vedic wisdom. Through living example, the goshala demonstrates that cow protection is not sentiment—it is scientific, spiritual, and essential for sustainable human life.
